The 4th Mountain Film Festival (Spotkania z Filmem Górskim), one of the biggest festivals of its kind in Poland, will last ten days, from September 5-14. The list of guests will include Slovenian mountaineer Martina Čufar, Italian traveller and film maker Tullio Bernabei, Norwegian director Sjur Paulsen, Himalayan mountaineers Piotr Pustelnik, Piotr Morawski and Peter Hamor, and National Geographic Magazine photographer Marek Arcimowicz.
Over thirty films, from all over the world and thematically connected with mountains, will compete for in the International Mountain Film Competition, and a workshop on Human Rights in the Mountains will be devoted to Chechnya and Tibet. There will also be other attractions such as photo exhibitions, film, photo, and journalistic workshops and a climbing competition.
The main venue of the festival will once again be the ‘Sokół’ Cinema, with other events to be held in the Miejska Galeria Sztuki, Ośrodek Edukacyjno-Muzealny Tatrzańskiego Parku Narodowego, and Hotel Górski Kalatówki. Details of the festival programme are available at www.spotkania.zakopane.pl.

Aż dziesięć dni trwać będą tegoroczne 4. Spotkania z Filmem Górskim, jeden z największych tego typu festiwali w Polsce. Impreza odbędzie się w dniach 5-14 września w Zakopanem, a wśród gości będą m.in. słoweńska wspinaczka Martina Čufar, włoski podróżnik i filmowiec Tullio Bernabei, norweski reżyser Sjur Paulsen, himalaiści Piotr Pustelnik, Piotr Morawski i Peter Hamor oraz fotograf National Geographic Marek Arcimowicz. O Grand Prix Międzynarodowego Konkursu Filmu Górskiej rywalizować będzie ponad trzydzieści najlepszych filmów o tematyce górskiej z całego świata, a w blok tematyczny Prawa Człowieka w Górach poświęcony będzie Czeczenii i Tybetowi. Wśród atrakcji znajdą się także wystawy fotografii, warsztaty filmowe, fotograficzne i dziennikarskie oraz zawody wspinaczkowe.
Główną areną Spotkań będzie jak co roku zakopiańskie Kino Sokół, a imprezy towarzyszące zaplanowano w Miejskiej Galerii Sztuki, Ośrodku Edukacyjno-Muzealnym Tatrzańskiego Parku Narodowego i Hotelu Górskim Kalatówki. Die diesjährige 4. Begegnung mit dem Bergfilm, eines der größten Festivals dieser Art in Polen, wird zehn Tage dauern. Die Veranstaltung wird in der Zeit vom 5. bis zum 14. September in Zakopane stattfinden und unter den eingeladenen Gästen werden unter anderem die slowenische Bergsteigerin Martina Čufar, der italienische Globetrotter und Filmmacher Tullio Bernabei, der norwegische Regisseur Sjur Paulsen die Himalaja-Bergsteiger Piotr Pustelnik, Piotr Morawski und Peter Hamor sowie der Fotograf von National Geographic Marek Arcimowicz sein. Um den Grand Prix des Internationalen Wettbewerbs des Bergfilms werden über 30 der besten Filme über die Bergthematik aus der ganzen Welt wetteifern und der thematische Block Menschenrechte im Gebirge wird Tschetschenien und Tibet gewidmet. Als weitere Attraktionen wird es auch Fotoausstellungen, Film-, Foto-, und journalistische Werkstätten sowie einen Kletterwettkampf geben.
Die Hauptarena für Begegnungen wird wie jedes Jahr das Kino „Sokół” in Zakopane sein und die begeleitenden Veranstaltungen sind in der Städtischen Kunstgalerie, dem Ausbildungs- und Museumszentrum des Tatra-Nationalparks und dem Berghotel Kalatówki geplant.
